Women are like teabags. We don't know our true strength until we are in hot water!
Eleanor Roosevelt
You
are responsible for everything in your life. Yes bad things do happen to good
people and we do get hurt and find ourselves in terrible situations that
overwhelm our everyday lives. But we can
make a choice to better the situation.
They say that the hard stuff is really life lessons in disguise. Some of
us are given a few more lessons then others but if we are willing to keep learning,
then we become stronger and wiser people.
They say hard times keep you real because all the trivial things in your
life disappear except what really matters. You have to take those hard times,
accept them, learn from them and do something about getting out of them. The
most important point to remember in these situations is not to let what ever
happened to you become an excuse as to why you cannot keep moving forward with
your life.
Whatever
happened has knocked the wind out of your sails. It has left you stranded,
weak, lost and in pain. Not easy I agree
and believe me I have been there several times. Yet experience has made me
realize that no matter what has happened; I cannot change it. Friends and family will gather around you for
a little while but they have lives and troubles of their own and they have to
move back into their lives and you have to face your reality on your own. Unexpected things happen, face it for what it
is and give your self a chance to lick your wounds. Everyone needs a bit of
time to think things through and recover from their hardships but they have to
be very careful to not allow themselves to walk into a poor pitiful me frame of
mind. Find another way to deal with your
life and circumstances. Listen to this video and see what courage is all about
when facing life’s challenges.
